Little bits of nothing, everything, and the in-between...

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far - I'm exhausted and I've barely done anything pertaining to Christmas! I'm still working on my kitchen remodeling and I'm also trying to get a blog going on this website. Oh, yes, and I'm also trying to finish Dylan's story! So when will someone in this technologically-advanced world invent a little "magical" something that will stop time so I can catch up with things???!!! (Hey, I can dream, right?) ;-)

Okay, ready? It's time for a CONTEST!! You have a chance to win a signed paperback copy of Love's Road Home if you answer this question correctly: In LRH, which character was involved in the bunny slope incident, and at what age? Answers must correctly address both parts of the question. E-mail your answer to lisa@lisalewisbooks.com by midnight of November 12th, and please put LRH Contest in the subject line. A winner will be randomly selected from all the correct entries on November 13th and contacted soon after for a snail mail address. Good luck and Happy Autumn!

I had a great time at the RWA National conference in NYC, and I'm glad I got to meet up with some of my favorite authors! These ladies all combine various elements of romance that I enjoy (tension, suspense, humor, passion), but I've indicated what comes to mind most about their books (based on the ones I've read and not their entire collections). Left to right, here I am with Sharon Sala (emotional), Vicki Lewis Thompson (funny), and Shannon McKenna (sexy).

Check out the free read in today's All Romance eBooks' Wildfire newsletter (Vol 4, Issue 249): It's an epilogue to Tom and Beth's story in Love's Road Home, appropriately titled Honeymoon. I hope people find it both satisfying AND intriguing... ;-)

Still working on Dylan's story ("Crashing into Love"). Two little girls keep me very busy (and exhausted!), and I'm desperately trying to get myself back onto a writing schedule that I can maintain long-term. For those who are curious what adventures are next, please hang in there - it's coming, it's coming!! ;-)

Want to read a sample of my own version of psychobabble? Check out my entry on The Order of the Lyoness blog from Black Lyon Publishing. And don't forget my upcoming book signing at Market Block Books (see "Appearances" for details) - stop by if you live in the area!!

Okay, "Love's Road Home" has been available almost three weeks now, and it still doesn't seem real! However, since I have some promotional things lined up, I guess it's time to face the fact that I'm a published author! ;-)
First up, on Saturday, April 24, I'll be doing a blog on my good friend Sandra Barkevich's website - www.sandrabarkevich.com. I'm still pondering what I'm going to write about, but it'll be interesting, I promise you. (Not necessarily what I say, but HOW I say it might make you say "Huh??!!")
Then, after the CR-RWA conference and book signing in June, I'll be doing a book signing at Market Block Books in Troy, NY, on Friday, July 30. The signing will be held from 7-8:30 pm in conjunction with Troy Night Out, so if you're in the neighborhood please stop on by and say hello!

I will be participating in a book signing on Saturday, June 12, 2010, in conjunction with the CR-RWA Annual Conference. The book signing is open to the public, but I'd suggest attending the conference if you'd like to get some great writing ideas from workshop presenters Jenna Petersen and Caridad Pineiro.

The official new name of "On the Road Again" is "Love's Road Home." And I'm now listed on the Black Lyon website as one of their authors. Another WooHoo for me!!

It's done! Just this morning I submitted a signed contract to Black Lyon Publishing for "On the Road Again." Release date is scheduled for April or May 2010. WooHoo!!!!!

Great news! I had a request for my full manuscript of OTRA and I submitted it to the publisher today. Keep your fingers crossed!

Just a quick update on a personal note: My second daughter, Bethany, was born on July 29 and this is my first week back at work. I find it strangely quiet there... (LOL) There's a funny tale to tell about her name being the same as OTRA's heroine, but I'll leave that for another time. Here's a picture of her at one day old. ;-)
